We make it simple to decide and apply
The first step is to contact us and learn if BG is right for your child.
Once you decide to apply, follow these steps below:

EITC scholarship recipients:
Families applying for financial aid are automatically considered for EITC and other aid awards from BG.
EITC recipients include households with annual income below guidelines set by the state. (a family with one child must have an income below $132,123 in 2024)
Students receive these scholarships as part of the Financial Aid application in step #3.
To get an idea of how much families actually pay to attend BG, including EITC, scholarships and financial aid, see the tuition page.
EITC donors:
Donors direct their PA state taxes toward scholarships at BG, helping the school and other families at very low cost to the donor (net cost of 10% or less of donated amount).
Scholarships are available to EITC donors.
EITC donors who do not expect to receive need-based aid are not required to fill out the Financial Aid form to be eligible for other scholarships.
Donating through the EITC program benefits both the school and the donor. Ask about BG’s exclusive scholarships: advancement@bguilfoyle.org or business@bguilfoyle.org
Potential donors (those who pay over $3,500 per year in taxes to the state of PA) should inquire about the program at advancement@bguilfoyle.org.
Donating through the EITC program is strongly encouraged. It is very important for recipients, donors and the school!
BG takes a holistic approach in evaluating students for admission. Evaluations are based on prior school records, individual needs, and overall fit. Admission is based on whether the child is prepared to benefit from the BG experience and whether space is available. We also seek to admit families who will make positive impacts on the school and others. We expect all BG families to be an asset to others in raising good human beings.
BG does not recruit athletes or provide athletic scholarships and adheres to all PIAA regulations. Among the criteria NOT considered in admissions is a family’s ability to pay, religious affiliation, or athletic abilities. As the premier private school for the area, BG actively seeks to create a diverse student body that wants to become part of our supportive, positive school community.
